Animal Friends of Lansdowne (AFL) is an organization comprised of citizens who are passionate about animals and animal issues. We are concerned about the responsible management of our domestic and feral animals, and about making Lansdowne a safe haven for people and animals to live in harmony.

This group does SO much work. Not just adoption and foster care, but veterinary care, and a ton of work with the feral cat population in Lansdowne.

We need your help!

We thought we had saved them all. On October 27th, we trapped two cats dumped behind Target. We were told there were only two, and we found two carriers. But shortly after, we spotted a third face in the shadows.

Apple was the third cat. Approximately 8 months old, but very small for her age, and likely dumped with the others, she survived alone in that spot until we finally secured her on November 7th.

She was safe. She was sweet. She was finally doing fine...

Apple suddenly stopped eating. A trip to the vet revealed a high fever, a nasty Upper Respiratory Infection, and painful ulcers on her tongue. While she was sent home with meds, her very experienced foster noticed she was declining rapidly. Trusting her gut, she rushed Apple to the Emergency Vet.

Apple has now been admitted to the ER for supportive care and observation. This is her best chance at recovery, but as many of you know, emergency hospitalization is incredibly expensive.

After being abandoned and left behind in the cold, Apple deserves every chance to fight this. Please help us cover her vet and ER bills so she can return to the sweet girl we know she is.
